For the malt sponges

  • 200g unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
  • 250g golden caster sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 225g plain flour
  • 25g powdered malt drink
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 100g natural yogurt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
