Cake with malt chocolate drops

For the chocolate sponges

  • 175g unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
  • 250g golden caster sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 225g plain flour
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 50g natural yogurt
  • 100g dark chocolate, melted and cooled a little

For the honeycomb

  • butter or flavourless oil, for greasing
  • 200g golden caster sugar
  • 5 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 37g pack Malteasers
